Compression Check Howto

This is pretty easy:

1 Buy a compression tester. 2 Grab a pair of Craftsman pliers. 3 Hold compression tester in one hand, and pliers in other hand. 4 Grab the needle sticking out of the valve with the pliers, and while holding the tester still with one hand, pull on the pliers hand. 5 When the needle comes out along with assorted junk, you are done.

To test compression:

1 Pull one spark plug from each rotor. 2 Remove EGI fuse and unhook spark plug wires. 3 Press tip of compression tester into spark plug hole. 4 Have assistant crank the engine while holding the gas pedal to the floor. 5 Look at guage on compression tester and see where the needle is on each bounce.
